This will be one of the locations we will be using for our two minute horror opening. We have chosen to use Laura Griffith 's parents bedroom as it fits the location desired by our storyboard and how it provides plenty of space for us film with the camera and tripod and at numerous angles giving us plenty of opportunities to get various interesting shots giving us more footage to edit with.
This room shall be used for the shots of Katie looming over her foster parents bed as depicted in our storyboard. We shall use multiple shots here more the ones we feel will work well would be an establishing shot over the shoulder of Katie showing how vulnerable the foster parents are followed by a close up shot of Katie.
The mirror in this room could be used to great effect as well numerous other prop's in the room such as the bed side table.
This will be the location we will use for the bedroom for our protagonist, we felt this room appropriate due how well it portrays a classic teenage girls room. This room will be used for multiple shot all of which involving the protagonist as it helps reveal how young and innocent she is.When shooting this scene the blinds will be closed and we will use interior light sources such as the light from the landing to give the illusion that the scene was shoot at night, we will also be shoot when the natural light out side has dimmed to further aid this illusion.
This location will be used as the living room where Katy's parents are murdered, we felt this room appropriate as it has plenty of space for us to film within and also fits our target audience also so that they can relate more to the film.During shooting this scene we will close the curtains to block out the natural light and substitute it with the light of the lamp to make it appear as if it was shot during night time which is better suited for use in a horror.
